Author "Design For How People Learn"

I’ve always said I became an instructional designer because I’m happiest whenever I get to learn something new, and it doesn’t really matter much what that is (“Fuel injection systems? Sure- let’s learn about fuel injection!”)

Julie Dirksen is a keynote speaker at the 2013 ILU conference & will focus on designing learning for behavior change and will really look under the hood of “experience design” at the psychology of why learning from experience really is different from other kinds of learning. The talk will draw from neuroscience, behavioral psychology, behavioral economics and game design.
